So why do video game companies offer video game tester jobs to people like you and me? The gaming industry is worth $50 BILLION per year. If you can't count, that is alot of effing money. Game companies like Nintendo, Blizzard Entertainment, and EA Games are trying to push out new games as soon as possible to feed the ever growing demand by gamers for new and more advanced games. These companies need to fill video game testing job positions to get their new games tested before release. They want to pay everyday gamers like you and me to test their games to find bugs, tell them your honest opinion and help them make a kick-ass game that will make them lots of money.

Video game companies need your help to avoid embarrassing episodes like the unforgettable "ALL YOUR BASE" incident...and they PAY you for your help!

So how did I get into game tester jobs?

A friend of mine and I did some homework. We didn't want a fast food job while in college, so we researched how people were landing these video game tester jobs. We signed up for a bunch of programs and message boards to learn all of the tricks. We made a list of contacts for video game tester jobs and where to apply. I applied to the companies, and I started getting paid to play.

I'll be honest. I didn't get accepted to every company I applied to, and you don't need too. You could, however, earn on average $125 a day with just a few accepted applications. Thats like working an eight hour job for $16 an hour.

I'm NOT a video game tester Full Time!

Why not? Dood, I'm in college, and I want to graduate so I can make games all day. Game tester jobs are great, but it isn't what I want to do forever. I want to create games that other people like you can test. My friend does this full time though, and he earns a crapload more than I do.

So, do video game tester jobs sound sweet?

I want to give you my list of contacts and how to apply just like I did to get these video game testing jobs.

I spent months researching this stuff, pulling my hair out at times and even getting discouraged a few times. It took me a long time to get a list of real video game company contacts that are actually hiring people like you and me to play video games. There are some fake lists out there, and I spent many late nights going through them and contacting people. I even spent a good bit of my own money on lists and applications to find the real ones. I built a list of people on the inside of these companies to get access their real game tester jobs and applications

I want to save you the money I waisted, those late night headaches...and possible baldness.

How does a video game tester job actually work?

Easy:
1)Get the list of applications and company contacts that we provide and is updated regularly.
2)You apply to the companies on the list.
3)When accepted, companies will send you games to test.
4)You play the games and give them a list of bugs with your honest opinion about the games
5)They pay you.

The applications are eezy-peez. Fill one out, then rinse and repeat for the rest.

I can't guarantee you'll get accepted to every company you apply too..I didn't either. Some companies have quotas of video game tester jobs that are full, but keep applying to them once a month and see if a spot opens up.

You will be able to pick and choose which video game tester jobs you apply for. So you can choose to only apply for PC games, console games, MMORPGs, action games, etc. The choice is yours. Apply for as many or as few as you want. You have to have the consoles / computer to play the games, but the games will be sent to you.

You also need to be at least 18 years old. Hey, I don't make the child labor laws. If you are under 18 the companies wont accept you, so I'm sorry but you are SOL my friend.

Finally, you have to enjoy playing video games. If you dont like spending hours hacking away at a game, then being a game tester is not the opportunity for you. I hear Wally-world is hiring. You have to really like playing games. You will be required to keep a log (a notebook) of the bugs you find and what you do and don't like about the game. You will have to rate things like game-play, difficulty, violence rating, fun, realism, etc. Bugs will be pretty obvious - like an NPC missing an arm, a special move not working, a loading error, etc. All stuff you have probably run into before and thought to yourself "I wish they had tested this shizznaz before releasing it."
